What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads, such as the fact that you are signed in. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job, and this policy covers those too.

What we use, and why

We keep this list short on purpose. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with ad networks.

• Strictly necessary: an authentication session cookie set when you sign in to a dashboard, and a short-lived token used to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot work without these, so they are not optional.
• Preferences: a small value remembering interface choices you have made, so the site behaves consistently on your next visit.
• Analytics: aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of which pages are visited and how the site performs. We use this to fix slow pages and dead ends. It does not identify you personally and is not used to track you across other websites.

How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. The authentication cookie expires when your session ends or after 30 days, whichever comes first. Preference and analytics values persist for up to 12 months unless you clear them sooner.

Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones, usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can also browse in a private or incognito window. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the dashboard login from working; blocking the others will not break the site. Most browsers also honour a Global Privacy Control signal, and we treat that signal as an opt-out request.

Changes and contact
